Tara grew up in a Boston suburb in a family that valued recycling, energy conservation, and the political power of the people. This led Tara to participate in numerous protests to better the social and environmental conditions locally, nationally, and internationally starting in middle school. As part of her graduation project from high school, Tara participated in the 1999 International Peace Conference in the Hague. A few months later, she began her college education at Bennington College. Not only did the school further fuel her passions for the Arts, but also her passion for activism, and a love of Vermont and the country. Tara transferred to Northeastern and completed her degree there. Tara later completed an MBA in HR Management at Ashford University.
After college, Tara moved around New England and through several careers. Spending time working for the Departments of Mental Health and Mental Retardation doing direct service care in state run group homes, multiple roles in HR across many companies, and as a buyer in the microscope division of a large company, she learned that she has the ability to adapt to many environments and find passion in many roles.
Feeling a longing for the country and wanting to be able to provide a better life for her family, Tara moved to Brattleboro in 2019. After several months of looking for the best fit, she found a home at Nasdaq OneReport, fusing her passion for a better world, and a work environment that keeps her engaged.
Outside of work, Tara enjoys spending time with her family. When she has spare time, she still enjoys producing art, writing/playing music, writing, knitting, sewing, and cooking.
